about

Jim Rotondi strikes again with "Blues for Brother Ray," a swinging tribute to the music of his mentor Ray Charles. Jim fondly recalls his time playing with "Mr. C" as the formative experience of his early career. Rotondi clearly shows his love for the eternal genius of Ray's music on this soulful session that also features the inspired playing of Eric Alexander on tenor saxophone, Peter Bernstein on guitar, Mike Le Donne on organ, and Joe Farnsworth on drums. Listen in and surely you will find that "Blues for Brother Ray" is a groovy good time that everyone can dig!
